SE 2/8 and 3/12 form a proportion, then 2:12 must be equal to 8.3, and are therefore both produce the same result which is 24. We can also calculate the unknown term in a proportion. x / 4 = 3/2 = 2 x 2 x 3.4 = 12 x = x 12/2 = 6
